Frequently Asked Questions
What does "Open Box" mean?
Open Box means the outer seal has been broken (often a customer return who bought the wrong model, or unsealed for display). However, the internal hardware is in pristine condition and has been thoroughly tested by our experts to guarantee it functions exactly like a brand-new unit.
Will this work with my original PS5 Digital Edition from 2020/2021?
No. This disc drive is designed exclusively for the redesigned PlayStation 5 "Slim" models released from late 2023 onwards. It will not physically fit or connect to the launch model PS5 Digital Edition.
Why do I need an internet connection to set it up?
Sony requires a one-time internet connection during the initial installation to authenticate and pair the disc drive with your specific console's motherboard for security and software verification purposes.
